Are You Serving?

Do you need a sense of purpose? Could you do more in your life and business? Start serving! 😊Serving others is something that we should all strive to do. I will share the importance of serving and tips on how entrepreneurs can serve each other.

God calls us to serve. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides so that in all things, God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." -1 Peter 4:10-11. Serving can take many forms, from volunteering at a local charity to mentoring someone just starting their career. As business owners, we have a unique opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise —mentorship is one of those opportunities. Entrepreneurship has many obstacles in building a fruitful business. By sharing your experiences, you can help them avoid the same mistakes and provide guidance on how to achieve their goals. Another way to serve is by sharing business resources and connections. Most business owners have a network of contacts and resources that can be valuable to others. Sharing is caring.😁

In addition to serving other entrepreneurs, serving your community is essential. This can be done through volunteering or by supporting local businesses. Serving is NOT about what they can do for you in return. This action should come from a genuine heart posture."Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free." -Ephesians 6:7-8

Overall, serving others needs to become an essential part of our lives, and it is something that we should enjoy doing. As business owners, we have a unique opportunity to guide other entrepreneurs by offering mentorship and providing resources and connections. When we serve, it should be genuine — "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." -Philippians 2:3-4.
